In spite of the circumstances, Governor Seyi Makinde has insisted that his administration will continue to provide for the welfare of the state civil service.

This was said by Makinde at an interfaith ceremony on Monday at the State’s Chapel Open Ground, Secretariat Agodi, Ibadan, which featured spiritual readings from each of the three main religions in Nigeria: traditional, Christianity, and Islam.

The governor boasted that he had maintained fairness, equity, and justice, which had resulted in the employment of 5,000 teachers, the hiring of health officials, the reinstatement of wrongfully terminated employees who had satisfactorily met the standard, as well as improved payment of wage bills from 4.8 billion to 7.2 billion naira, all with the goal of ensuring better treatment of the state workers.

” We have listened to deductions on workers’ salary as presented by the labour leaders in
Oyo State.
