Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde has admonished Nigerian Students in the diaspora and the intending ones to have intention of returning home with their acquired knowledge to develop the country.

Governor Makinde gave the charge at an International education forum, themed: “Accessing education beyond borders, embracing global opportunities”, held at the International Conference Center, University of Ibadan.

Governor Makinde, represented by the state Commissioner for Education, the education sector, Governor Makinde commended the organizers of the Programme for supporting his education Policies, charging various education stakeholders to work in hand with the state government in creating enabling environment for students to thrive.

The convener of the event, Mrs Tolu Eledan, opined that if government could apportion budgets for people in diaspora, it would encourage them to return and execute their plans and enrich the land with the knowledge and experience gained.

The vice chancellor, University of Botswana, Professor David Norris, charged Africans to embrace quest for breeding solutions by globalizing its education.
