It is uncharitable to criticise unfairly a workaholic and performing servant of the people like Governor Makinde who is diligent, dutiful and resourceful in handling the affairs of Oyo State. No wonder the State is witnessing an unprecedented economic transformation like never before.

As I read the tasteless article titled “Ibarapa needs infrastructure, not coming to celebrate birthday” written by a faceless group reminds me of Joseph Goebbels who led the Nazi propaganda says “repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth”. It is very unwise for Adebayo Adedigba and Taiwo Kareem and others to lie about the unprecedented sustainable infrastructure development in all the zones including Ibarapaland.

It is hilarious to see some bunch of clowns and unenlightened group to have called Governor Seyi Makinde “Social Media Governor” as they are blind to see the massive infrastructure revolution that have been the talking points in national and international discourse.

The four cardinal points of His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde led administration – education, healthcare, economy and security are moving at a full speed and fast pace for the betterment of the good people of Oyo State.

Let us separate fact from fiction regarding Governor Seyi Makinde performance in ibarapa zone of Oyo State.

I made a bold statement that Governor Makinde has revolutionised infrastructure development in Oyo State which includes Ibarapaland and I stand to be challenged that Adebayo Adedigba, Taiwo Kareem, Janet Ogundairo and Feyisetan Ijimakinwa’s allegations and claims are baseless that cannot hold water as everyone in Ibarapaland can see for themselves the great transformation achieved in all sectors since the inception of Governor Makinde led administration in the past two years compared to the retrogressive eight years of ex-gov Ajimobi APC led government.

Governor Makinde led administration is working very hard day and night to build solid sustainable development infrastructure network across all zones to make Oyo State an investment destination for foreign investors, and for local businesses to thrive.

Based on the tremendous development project already achieved in all sectors, it is evident that people across the State are applauding Governor Makinde for excellent performance and good governance following the dividend of democracy enjoying by all zones which includes protecting the lives and property of the citizens.
It does not surprise me that the faceless group are setting the course of lying to manipulate ibarapa residents.

The so-called ungrateful Judas in the name of Adebayo Adedigba, Taiwo Kareem and their overnight mushroom WhatsApp group who are not only clueless about governance but a ‘faceless colony group’ with no vision for themselves, think they can be a cog in the wheel for the development and progress of Ibarapaland and Oyo State by shamefully spreading fake news and misinformation to incite hatred among the good citizens in exchange for peanuts to please their bigot political pay masters. Let it be heard that you and all your cohorts are too small in the scheme of things.

The disguised group with no political, socio-economic value, traceable identity and mission, out of sheer ignorance could not see the unprecedented infrastructure development across Oyo State but maliciously deployed campaign of calumny to achieve thier sinister motives. Adebayo Adedigba, Taiwo Kareem and their co-travellers are crying foul of marginalisation of Ibarapa zones which, in all honesty, are enjoying dividend of democracy.

The only thing spreading faster than good governance is misinformation from Adebayo Adedigba and his group. This ‘faceless colony group’ is not the only group that sow misrepresentation of fact about the good governance, the oppositions are doing the same thing by overhyping their propaganda. The rationale behind thier wishful thinking is solely to mislead the public in which they are self-deluded and manipulative.

Honestly, I am not amazed that Adebayo Adedigba and his group are out of touch who are hell bent to discredit good works of Governor Makinde. Misinformation can kill
good governance and dividend of democracy if not nip in the bud.

The Indigenes of Ibarapaland were promised dividends of democracy during the campaign and are now enjoying for being in a democratic Government such as presence of good roads, portable water supply, accessible, affordable and qualitative education, affordable healthcare and Farm Estate projects, and favourable economy for trade and investment to thrive et al.

It is a known fact for some politicians and political jobbers that political power is the dividend of democracy as well as other benefits accompany power. As a result of this, Governor Makinde as a shrewd and smart leader has demonstrating fairness, equity and justice to all zones including Ibarapa for the distribution of political offices. The records are there to see for those in search of the truth not fallacy.

The love that His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde has for the people of Oyo State is like that of a mother to a child that cannot be substituted. He is a compassionate, outstanding and thoughtful leader who understands the importance of infrastructure as an aid to economic sustainability. He has invested massively on it to improve the quality of lives of the citizens, as no zone is left out or marginalised in the distribution of developmental projects in the State. His inclusion Government has transformed the landmark of politics in Oyo State.

Adebayo Adedigba, Taiwo Kareem and your faceless colony group are out of touch, living in the dark age as physical infrastructure cannot be hidden. It is cynosure of all eyes to see, feel and assess by discerning minds not those who cannot differentiate facts from fiction like yourselves.

The selfish notorious group whose defense mechanism is to lie could not see beyond thier nose and are known for crying foul unnecessarily to discredit the good works of the people’s Governor for thier own selfish interest. Their main preoccupation is to cause disaffection in the zone they claimed they loved.

It is sad for the disgruntled elements with unknown and shady identity who politicised a sensitive issue like security just to whip sentiments. To bubble thier burst, I say without mincing words that no Government in the history of Oyo State has prioritised, invested substantially as well as keen in ensuring adequate security of lives and property like Governor Makinde does.

It is a well known fact that Nigeria as a whole is grappling with security challenges such as kidnapping, banditry, terrorism to mention but a few. In the midst of these security challenges, Governor Makinde as a forward thinker has taken it upon himself by rejigging the security architecture of Oyo State. His administration is leaving no stone unturned so that the people of Oyo State can enjoy maximum security. With his mantra, if you see something, say something as authority will deal with it decisively.

Without a doubt, constructive criticism is welcome in democracy as it keeps track of government activities and highlighting loopholes in policies and programmes. It also keeps the true essence of democracy alive, gives it a chance of improving the quality of governance hence creates a better society.

My candid advice to the faceless colony group led by Adebayo Adedigba and his crying babies is to channel your energy, effort, time and resources to the development of Ibarapa to complement the ongoing developmental strides embarked upon by the people’s Governor in the zone. Your unfair, malicious, wicked, unpalatable, unpatriotic and resentful article is nothing but concoted lies from the pit of hell. The people of Oyo State has moved away from analogue politics of exploitation to digital politics of progressive. “Ojú àwon ará ìlú ti là” meaning the citizens are wiser now.

Be aware that no amount of propaganda, misinformation or misrepresentation of facts and figures can stop the people’s Governor, His Excellency, Seyi Makinde from fulfilling his mandate to the citizens of Oyo State.

Governor Makinde’s second term ambition which he is yet to declare is in God’s hands. I dare say that God’s will be done. As power belongs to Him and it is He alone that gives power at every appointed time. This is my conviction!
