Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, on Tuesday, commissioned the newly reconstructed ultramodern Sasa market in Akinyele local government area of Oyo state.
Recall that the popular market was set ablaze in February 2021 following a dispute between a porter and pregnant trader which led to the death of a cobbler.
In His remark at the event, the governor called on the traders to ensure they all stay united in the course of their activities in the market and not allow themselves to be divided by religion, ethnicity or language.
“Please, I want to urge you all today. I want this new structure, the ultra-modern farmers market to become a symbol of unity, oneness. So, each time we come to the market, let it be a reminder that we are one,” Makinde stated.
The new structure has eighty four open shops, eight unit of toilet for men and women, staff offices, modern parks for trailers and cars.
