Justice Ladiran Akintola of Oyo State High Court has dismissed the case filed by the Oyo state’s deputy governor, Engr. Rauf Olaniyan, challenging the impeachment process to remove him from office by the House of Assembly.

The judge held that the lawmakers and all the defendants have not erred on the procedures taken on the impeachment process.

According to Oladiran, the originating summons filed by the claimant was purely legislative procedure and not judicial in line with the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
