Works are expected to start in earnest as the Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde flagged off Oyo State Government and Shell Nigeria Gas Limited gas project.
Governor Makinde disclosed this on Thursday through his verified Facebook page while adding that the project is particularly for the construction of a Pressure Reduction and Metering Station.
The flag-off which took place at the Kilometer 10, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway is expected to deliver to industrial, manufacturing and commercial entities.
In his words; “Today, we flagged off the construction of the Oyo State Government (OYSG) and Shell Nigeria Gas Ltd (SNG) Gas Project. This project is for the construction of a Pressure Reduction and Metering Station (PRMS) by SNG on a Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT) basis,” Seyi Makinde quoted.
“This infrastructure will deliver gas to industrial, manufacturing and commercial entities. It will also serve new emerging industrial corridors and industrial parks/zones, Independent Power Projects, and provide stable power generation for industrial and residential use in Oyo State.”
