Governor Seyi Makinde has assured the people of Oyo state that he will continue to share the dividends of democracy across the zones of the state, irrespective of the limited resources at the disposal of the state government.
The Oyo State Governor gave the assurance while featuring while featuring as guest on a live programme anchored by a private radio station in Ibadan on Saturday.
On the state of the Agbowo Shopping Complex in Ibadan, Governor Makinde declared that rehabilitation of the complex will be re-awarded to a new contractor who has the capacity to handle such a project.
He said the new contractor will also handle the agitations of occupants of the mall.
Speaking on the state of water scarcity and supply in Oke-Ogun Zone, Governor Makinde Governor Makinde said his administration inherited a Water Corporation that was in a poor state, but however assured the people of Oke Ogun that the problem of water scarcity will soon be permanently solved, as the abandoned dam in Igboho will be resuscitated by the State Government.
He added that the plan to make the Ado Awaye suspended lake a world class tourism resort is still very much in the pipe line, even as he promised to ensure that the Ikere gorge dam becomes another global tourist attraction that would boost the economy of the State.
The Governor commended the efforts of various political stakeholders in the state for standing by him to record the unprecedented victory in the last election, while appealing to the people of the state to be patient on their expectations for the second term of his administration.
