OYRTMA EVACUATES FALLEN CONTAINER AT IBADAN

The Oyo State Road Transport Management Authority (OYRTMA) on Thursday evacuated the fallen container along Efunsetan Roundabout, Challenge, Ibadan.

OYRTMA via it’s Facebook page, said it took over the removal of the container from the Police who has been investigating the accident for about two weeks.

“The container, which had been a subject of Police investigation, had been at the scene for about two weeks. It therefore become extremely necessary for OYRTMA to move in and evacuate it particularly as its presence along the route constitutes significant danger to unsuspecting motorists and other road users.

“While we thank God that no casualty was recorded throughout the period, we wish to appreciate the general public for showing concern over the matter and keeping in touch with us along the way.

“The Oyo State Government under His Excellency, Governor Seyi makinde remain committed to safeguarding the lives and properties of all residents of the State especially the motoring public and all road users”, OYRTMA boss Mogaji Akin Fagbemi said during the evacuation process of the container.
