The governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, has handed over power to his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, as he embarks on a 21-day leave for medical treatment abroad.
The speaker of the state House of Assembly, Rt Hon Olamide Oladiji, in a statement on Tuesday, June 13, said the governor directed Aiyedatiwa to act as governor, pending when he returns.
According to the statement, the governor embarked on the leave on June 7 and will be away until July 6.
“The Governor, who had directed his Deputy, Hon.Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa to act as the Governor while away, has assured of his resumption on the 6th of July, 2023,” the statement said.
