In accordance with the marching order granted to Oyo State Road Maintenance Agency (OYSROMA) by Governor Seyi Makinde, the agency has commenced the rehabilitation of roads in bad condition across the 33 local government.
The process would be carried out across all other zones in the state in stages to eliminate all potholes.
Confirming the development, the newly reappointed chairman, Hon. Busoye Ogunlade said that measurement has started on these roads, as both engineers and the agency staff are all on the roads to start the Bill of Engineering Measurement and Evaluation BEME.
He said that everyone must cooperate to make Oyo State the Pacesetter state, pleading with residents of the state to refrain from throwing trash in the drainage system as it is one of the main causes of the terrible condition of some roads.
Bodija Ojurin – Iyanan Olopa – Iyanan Ashi junction; Elewure junction to Housing – Awolowo junction with spur to Osuntokun junction; Custom to Federal secretariat – Officers’ Mess- Government House with spur to Kola Daisi Road are some of the roads that phase 1 rehabilitation will begin on with immediate effect.
Also, Jericho junction – FRIN- Aleshinloye market; Eleyele junction; Ologuneru – Abanla ; Bus stop – Aremo- OritaAperin junction ; Eleyele Roundabout – Water Corporation – Eruwa garadge – Poly junction – NASFAT road ; U.I- Bodija – Secretariat ; Agbowo – Express Road.
Other Roads to be rehabilitated in the phase 1 by Oysroma are: Labo – Muslim – Olomi- Eleta – Academy road; Amuloko junction – Fakayode; Agugu – Ode aje – Oja gbo ; Oluyoro junction to Agugu police station ; Alayande junction – Oke padre; Oke – Aremo and Agugu junction – Koloko Express.
