Three teachers from Oyo State received accolades at the 2023 Presidential Teachers and School Excellence Award. Governor Seyi Makinde celebrated their remarkable achievements, hailing them as exemplary representatives of Oyo’s esteemed educational heritage. Among these distinguished educators were Babarinlo Oluwaseun, the Head Teacher of the Methodist Basic School, Iseyin; Amoo Joseph, the Principal of the Government College Ibadan; and Odejayi Adedamilola, the Proprietor of the Second Home College, Olodo, Ibadan.

Their outstanding contributions to education earned them well-deserved recognition at the ceremony held in Abuja.
Additionally, Mr Ojo Titilope Peter, a native of Oyo State residing in Akwa Ibom, stood out by being named the Overall Best Teacher among Federal Unity Colleges. Governor Makinde expressed his commitment to creating an enabling environment for teachers to excel, underscoring his administration’s dedication to advancing the education sector and fostering excellence.

In celebration of World Teachers Day, Governor Makinde extended his congratulations to all teachers and expressed deep gratitude to those who have played pivotal roles in enhancing the state’s education sector. He reiterated his administration’s unwavering dedication to creating a conducive environment that empowers diligent educators to excel in every aspect of their profession. The governor proudly emphasised that Oyo State continues to lead the way in educational advancement, setting the standard for excellence.
