In a grand inaugural ceremony, Lady Tolu Eledan, CEO of TPSeal Education UK, set the tone for the maiden edition of the International Study Abroad Fair (ISAF) 2024. The event, held at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan, brought together distinguished guests, delegates, and stakeholders from the global education community.

In her opening remark, Lady Tolu Eledan extended a warm welcome to all participants, including His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, the Executive Governor of Oyo State who was represented by the Hon. Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Salihu Abdulwaheed Adelabu and other notable dignitaries. She expressed gratitude to the international delegates from Botswana, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Turkey, and the Republic of Ireland, highlighting the significance of their presence in Nigeria.

Reflecting on the journey that led to ISAF 2024, Lady Tolu Eledan emphasised on the collaborative effort behind the event’s realisation. She acknowledged the challenges faced by international students and underscored the event’s mission to provide solutions while creating opportunities for entrepreneurs in the International Education sector.

The choice of the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan, as the event venue held symbolic significance, recalling Nigeria’s rich history with international education.
Lady Tolu Eledan underscored the event’s theme, “Accessing Education Beyond Borders; Embracing Global Opportunities,” aligning with the vision of global economic expansion and national development.

ISAF 2024 seeks to address the prevailing trend of “JAPA” (leaving the country for study or work) by promoting a paradigm shift towards “JAPADA” – returning home and utilizing international knowledge for national advancement.
The event aims to enlighten participants on the benefits of international study while advocating for the promotion of mental wellness among international students and individuals with disabilities.

Lady Tolu Eledan concluded her remarks by urging the conference delegates to actively engage in the insightful dialogue and opportunities presented throughout the conference.

She emphasised the potential for ISAF 2024 to empower academic institutions, the Oyo State government, and educational investors to leverage resources for sustainable economic and social development through international education.
