The Babaloja General of Oyo state, Alhaji Yekeen Abass has announced the closure of some markets in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital as the 8th day fidau of Late Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Mahood Lekan Balogun holds tomorrow, Friday.
Babaloja made this known in a statement made available to newsmen, on Thursday.
Announcing on behalf of Market leaders and elders, Babaloja said it’s important market men and women give honour to the Late monarch.
He added that market men and women in the state remembered the roles the Late Olubadan played in the development of Ibadanland.
He said Gate market, Oje market, Beere market, Ojaba market, Idi Arere market and Bode market will be closed tomorrow, 22nd of March, 2023.
Alhaji Abass condoled with Governor Seyi Makinde, the Aliiwo family and sons and daughters of Ibadan and Oyo state in general.
The fidau will take place at Mapo Hall, Ibadan.
