The Babalola General of Oyo State Alhaji Yekeen Abass has ordered markets in Ibadanland to be shut on Friday between 7am and 2pm in honour of the new Olubadan of Ibadanland.
The 43rd Olubadan of Ibadan Oba Owolabi Olakunlehin would be coronated on Friday.
According to a release signed in Ibadan, the market leader congratulates the state Governor Seyi Makinde and sons and daughters of Ibadanland on the coronation.
Alhaji Abass said the closure of markets is to give honour to the first class of Oba and allow free flow of motorists.
He said all market traders and leaders are expected at the Mapo hall, venue of the presentation of instrument of office by the governor.
