Oyo State Anti-Corruption Agency (OYACA) has secured the conviction of a civil servant named Adesina Oyegoke, an Assistant Chief Executive Officer in the Estates Department of Lagelu Local Government, lyana Offa.
This was contained in a letter signed by the Executive Secretary OYACA, I.O. Tijani Esq.
The convict who sold land belonging to State Housing Corporation sometime in 2021 was charged on a three-count charge of official corruption under the State Anti-Corruption Agency Law 2019.
In the judgment delivered by His Worship, Magistrate O.A. Akande (SMII) presiding over Special Court 8, lyaganku, the Court found the convict guilty on all counts and sentenced him to three months imprisonment.
The agency however, urged civil servants to desist from all acts of corruption, as it only plunges the state into under-development and disparages the good image and enviable status of the State Government.
