In a bid to drive development and innovation, a delegation from Oyo State, led by Governor Seyi Makinde, held a series of meetings with top Swedish organizations in Stockholm yesterday.
The delegation signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SchoolTrySoft, a leading educational technology platform, to deploy digital education solutions in public tertiary institutions across Oyo State. This partnership aims to enhance learning outcomes and administrative efficiency.
Meetings were also held with Business Sweden to promote mining opportunities in Oyo State, with expressions of interest for further engagement and assessment for potential investments in the sector.
Additionally, the delegation met with Epicenter Stockholm, a Swedish digital innovation hub, and extended an invitation to co-founder Ola Ahlvarsson to visit Oyo State. The aim is to build a similar innovation hub, fostering entrepreneurship and innovation in the state.
The final meeting was with Scania Group, a leading provider of transportation solutions, to discuss sustainable mass transportation for commuters in and out of Oyo State’s cities.
These strategic partnerships are set to drive significant growth and development in Oyo State, with a focus on education, mining, and sustainable transportation.
