The Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde has stated that the Ibadan circular road would be motorable in the next one year and would be the first free highway in Nigeria.
The Governor stated this during a Stakeholders’ Consultative meeting on the State year 2025 Budget, and unveiling of the State Agenda 2040.
While highlighting his administration’s impressive developmental projects, he noted that the state budget performance has significantly improved compared to the 30% performance of previous administrations.
The State Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Professor Babatunde Musibau emphasized that the consultative meeting remained a serious process for an effective budget and stressed the need for sensitization of the people to participate in consultative meetings across the various zones of the state.
Representatives of various groups and segments of the society lauded the various developmental projects of the Makinde-led administration expressed their demands on what the government should capture in the 2025 budget.
