As the festive season of December approaches, *Otunba Seye Famojuro* is embracing the *WESTNG Mega Cultural Festival*, which aims to showcase the creative talents of Oyo State, while promoting unity, dignity, morality, and the spirit of Omoluabi.
The *WESTNG Team*, along with *Prince Falana Adebowale Adebayo*, Chairman of the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, recently paid a courtesy visit to *Otunba Seye Famojuro* to seek his blessings for the event.
*WESTNG* is known for fostering social cohesion within the commercial ecosystem of the state. Historically, the carnival has been powered by traders, market vendors, transport workers, youth groups, artisans, and entrepreneurs. It celebrates the values that define the West.
Otunba Seye Famojuro has encouraged the organizing committee of the WESTNG Carnival and the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development to ensure the event is memorable. He expressed his aspirations for the carnival to rival renowned celebrations such as the Calabar Carnival in Cross River, the Notting Hill Carnival in London, and the Rio Carnival in Brazil.
*Barrister Olamide Idowu*, the Convener of WESTNG, has promised to bring glitz and glamour to the carnival, reiterating that Oyo State will be put on the global map with the Vibing December celebration.

The carnival will feature a grand cultural theme centered around the community’s popular slogan, *“Lále Ọjọ Yẹn, Ibo Lọ Wá?” which translates to “Tonight’s the night – where are you turning up?”*
While meeting with the team, *Otunba Seye Famojuro* commended their efforts and emphasized that Oyo State is rich in talent. He urged the *WESTNG Team* to create an unforgettable event that showcases the best of Oyo State, establishing it as a hub for major celebrations.
Recently, the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development successfully hosted the *Davido ‘5ive Alive’ Concert* in Ibadan. Otunba Seye now encourages the team to make this concert appealing to all Nigerians, both at home and abroad.
The 2025 edition of the WESTNG Carnival will feature a variety of attractions, including performances by Taye Currency, Rasheed Apala, Castroh, Andy King, DJs, and the Ibadan Comedy Troupe; a food village; a fashion runway; artist showcases; a youth recreation area; and a fireworks display.
Otunba Seye also praised the *Battle of Mix and Mic* competition, emphasizing it’s importance in discovering raw talent among hype men and disc jockeys (DJ). He pointed out that successful participants could not only dominate local stages but also gain opportunities to perform across Nigeria and beyond through their skills on the turntable and microphone.
