His role in repositioning agribusiness as a strategic driver of job creation and wealth generation has continued to boost investor confidence and strengthen food security across the state.

As Director-General of OYSADA, Akande has played a pivotal role in advancing the economic agenda of Governor Seyi Makinde, particularly in attracting local and international investments into the agribusiness sector and promoting sustainable development initiatives.

Speaking during his acceptance, Dr. Akande dedicated the award to Governor Makinde, noting that the recognition reflects the administration’s bold vision and commitment to economic expansion through agriculture.

“I receive this honour with profound gratitude and dedicate it to His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, whose visionary leadership continues to inspire transformative change in Oyo State,” he said.
