The Director-General of Oyo state Agribusiness Development Agency (OYSADA), Dr. Debo Akande; accompanied by executives from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MOARD) and a team from the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) and OYSADA visited the IITA incubation center in Aawe on 13th November 2020.

Dr. Akande and the rest of the team inspected ongoing projects at the incubation center.  They assessed the level of completion of ongoing renovations of the facility.

The team also visited the ongoing tomato project site and met with the first batch of trainees. Dr. Akande encouraged them to use the available resources at their disposal to learn and equip themselves.

The ongoing tomato project aimed at empowering the youth to be independent, thereby reducing unemployment in Oyo state has 100 young farmers incubated at the center.

The young farmers had a practical class at the incubation center with first-hand experience using farming tools at the incubation center.
