The Oyo State Executive Governor Engr Seyi Makinde, has reconsidered five of his former commissioners to be re-appointed as serving Commissioners under his administration.

The returning Commissioners include for Youth and Sports: Seun Fakorede, Information, Culture and Tourism: Wasiu Olatubosun, Commerce: Adeniyi Adebisi, Education: Barrister Olasunkanmi Olaleye and the former Commissioner for Lands and Urban Planning, Abdurahman Abduraheem.

It was gathered that His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde has included in his nomination list for Commissioners his economic adviser, Musibau Babatunde Adetunji as Commissioner for Budget and Planning and the Incident Manager of the State’s Covid-19 Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) Dr. Taiwo Ladipo as Commissioner for Health.

We recall, that Engr Seyi Makinde dissolved his cabinet in July 2021 and reappointed 7 of them on August 6, 2021.

Sources revealed  that the nomination list has been sent to the Oyo State House of Assembly for Approval.
