The Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has approved the sum of 12.5 billion naira for the reconstruction, rehabilitation and dualization of 35.6km Iwo-Road interchange to Olodo, Lalupon- Odo Oba road.

This was disclosed to newsmen on Tuesday by the Commissioner for Public Works, Infrastructure and Transport, Professor Dahud Sangodoyin shortly after the 9th state executive council meeting presided over by the Governor. He noted that the two state governments of Oyo and Osun will flag off the project very soon.

According to him, the contract was awarded to Messrs Peculiar Ultimate Concern.

The project is expected to be completed withing 18 months.

The council also approved restoration, modernization and maintenance of street lights at ten strategic junctions across Oyo State at the sum of over N247 million, through Alternative Funding Project Approach.

This was revealed by the Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Seun Asamu.

Some of the specified junctions are, Seceratarit, Awolowo, Bodija, Mokola, Elewure, NTA, Adamasingba Salvation Army in Ibadan, Sango, IsaleTaba in Saki, Owode junction in Oyo.
