The Oyo State Government, which is led by Seyi Makinde, is said to have provided a total of 23 primary healthcare facilities with a continuous 24/7 solar power supply.

The government shared the information in a tweet on the state government’s official Twitter feedback page, saying that more than 61 000 patients had benefited from care provided by the solar facility. The tweet read; “An estimated 61,728 patients have received treatment using the uninterrupted solar solutions installed by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources at these 23 primary healthcare centres in Oyo State.”
