Soun Stool: Court ordered the removal Of Ghandi As Soun Of Ogbomoso, Orders Fresh Selection Process
Oyo State High Court sitting in Ogbomoso has ordered the removal of Oba Ghandi Afolabi Laoye as Soun of Ogbomoso, ordered a fresh selection process.
The Oyo state government had in August announced Pastor Ghandi Olaoye as the new Soun.
Before this time, another aspirant for the position, Kabir Laoye, approached the court to challenge the eligibility of Ghandi Olaoye
Prince Kabir Olaoye who challenged Ghandi’s selection explained that there was a flaw in the selection process .
While delivering his judgment, Justice Adedokun who was hearing the case announced that the appointment of King Laoye was illegal.
He also ordered the kingmakers to start a new selection process to elect a new Soun.
