No fewer than four persons have been confirmed dead, while many others sustained varying degrees of injuries, in a road accident which occurred on the Ibadan-Oyo Expressway in Afijio Local Government Area of Oyo State on Saturday.
According to reports, the driver of the 18-passenger, white Toyota Hummer bus with plate number – Lagos JJJ 941 XA, took off at the popular Akinyele market in Akinyele Local Government, Ibadan, before he suffered a tyre burst and lost control.
The Atiba Unit Commander of Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC), DCC Bayode Olugbesan noted that the accident was caused by overspeeding and overloading.
