Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde has charged Muslims to increase their prayers for the country during the holy month of Ramadan.

He said while the nation’s leaders are seeking an end to economic hardship and other challenges, prayers are of greater essence these precarious times.

Governor Makinde in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olanrewaju also charged Muslims to imbibe the lessons of love, kindness and good neighbourliness as taught by the Holy Prophet.

He admonished the privileged to reach out to their neighbours who are passing through hard times.

He said his administration has been doing everything to mitigate the impact of the current economic downturn and will not relent until life gets better for all.
