In a landmark ruling, the Federal High Court in Abuja has reinstated Philip Shuaibu as the Deputy Governor of Edo State.
The court nullified the impeachment process by the Edo State House of Assembly, deeming it unconstitutional.
The court also ordered the Inspector General of Police to immediately restore Shuaibu’s security details and mandated the payment of his salaries and allowances from April.
This comes after Shuaibu was removed from office in April 2024, and Godwins Omobayo was sworn in as his replacement.
