The Commissioner for Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Mr Williams Akin-Funmilayo, and the Commissioner for Public Works and Transport, Professor Dahud Kehinde Shangodoyin, addressed the press to clarify issues surrounding the corridor allocated for the Rashidi Ladoja Circular Road.
The key takeaways from the press conference are as follows:
1.The Oyo State Government, under His Excellency Seyi Makinde, FNSE, has not increased the Circular Road corridor.

2.The 500 metres corridor was acquired as follows: a. 150 metres (left and right) in 2006 by former Governor Senator Rashidi Ladoja b. 350 metres (left and right) in 2018 by the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi.

3.The marking that was done by ministry officials was to enumerate existing properties to determine: a. Who will be compensated b. Who will be integrated c. Who will be relocated

4.Due to the ongoing agitations, His Excellency Seyi Makinde, FNSE, has approved that the marking of buildings should be suspended.
5.His Excellency has also approved that the setback to be maintained for the ongoing construction of the Rashidi Ladoja Circular Road, for now, should be 150 metres (left and right).

6.Settlements within the 150 metres corridor will be fenced off from the Circular Road. They are to be preserved and not removed. These include villages, housing settlements, and other value-added settlements within that corridor. There will be no access from these settlements into the Rashidi Ladoja Circular Road.

7.The Oyo State Government will try its best to minimise the consequences of the Rashidi Ladoja Circular Road development on buildings and settlements along the corridor.
