The Soun of Ogbomosoland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye (Orumogege III), has commended Governor Seyi Makinde, for his visionary leadership and commitment to the development of all zones across the state.

Oba Olaoye gave the commendation during the Ogbomoso Economic Summit and Exhibition held at the Lautech Great Hall, describing the Governor as “a bridge-builder whose policies have continued to open new frontiers of growth and opportunity.”

Speaking on the theme “Unlocking the Economic Potential in Ogbomosoland,” the Monarch said Ogbomoso is on the verge of a major economic transformation, adding that the foundation already laid by the Makinde administration has positioned the State for industrial expansion, agricultural productivity, and youth empowerment.

Representing the Governor at the event, the Commissioner for Information, Prince Dotun Oyelade, described the summit as a bold step towards regional economic renaissance.
He compared Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye’s modem and zeal for strategic development as being in tandem with what Gov Makinde has embarked upon in almost 7 years in office.

In her address, the Minister for Trade and Investment Dr Jumoke Oduwole specifically referred to the economic drive embarked upon by Gov Makinde as Investors friendly . She expressed her satisfaction that Oba Ghandi’s developmental strategy will function seamlessly in the conducive environment.

The summit attracted eminent scholars, Industrialists and top government officials including the Oyo state Commissioner for Trade and Investment Mr Niyi Adebisi and the Director General oyo state Project Performance Monitoring Agency, Mr Ope Salawu.
