Monday, August 1st, 2022 has been announced as a public holiday by the Oyo State Government, to commemorate the new Islamic Year – Hijrah 1444 AH.

This was made known by Mrs. Olubamiwo Adeosun, the Secretary to the Oyo State Government via a circular letter dated July 28th, 2022 and titled, “Declaration of Work-Free Day to Mark Hijrah 1444AH’.
