The Oyo State Light Up Project is set to transit from the primary fuse source to the originally intended Tribid System.

This was revealed by the Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Hon. Seun Ashamu, who also revealed that the primary fuse which uses diesel was not the original intention, but was exploited for emergency to tackle the rising security issues at the time.

He however noted that the aim was accomplished as robbery and other crimes reduced at the advent of the light up project.

He also noted that its time to transit to the original template which comprises of the use grid, inverter, and gas generator for support, as agreed with the developer.

The Commissioner also appealed to the public to see themselves as co-owners of the project and should therefore treat it as such by reporting any threat or abnormalities such as pole fall, vandalism and such likes to 0700444999.
