The Oyo State Road Transport Management Authority (OYRTMA) has issued traffic advisory to the motoring public as regards anticipated higher volume of traffic in the State occasioned by the expected visitation of the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya who is to officially commission some projects of the Nigerian Army situated within Oyo State.

Motorists are to note that the Army Chief would ply the Toll Gate–Iwo Road–Oyo route to the project site at Akinmoorin, Oyo town.

Sequel to the ongoing construction works at Sawmill Junction of the Express-way, Ibadan, there shall be a road diversion of vehicles to the other side of the road.

According to the Executive Chairman, OYRTMA, Mogaji Akin Fagbemi Ph.D, “motorists are advised to drive carefully as the Military Police formations shall work concertedly with our Officials to ensure an itch-free movement of the COAS and other road users during this period. Commuters who do not have businesses along the aforementioned routes could use alternatives roads within the town during the period to avoid unnecessary delays.”
