The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has on Thursday released the names of members of the Presidential Election Campaign Council, ahead of the February 2023 general elections.

According to a statement released by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Umaru Bature, about 326 members were selected across the 36 states and FCT.

In the list seen by Newsflash Nigeria, the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike; the Governor of Oyo State, ‘Seyi Makinde and former Ekiti Governor, Ayodele Fayose were among the members of the Presidential Campaign Council of the party.

The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel was appointed as the Chairman of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) while the Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed was appointed as the Vice–Chairman of North.

While the Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde was appointed as the Vice–Chairman South of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), the Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal was appointed as the Director General for the National Campaign Management Committee (NCMC) by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

Similarly, PDP appointed a former governor of Cross Rivers State, Liyel Imoke as Deputy Director of General Operations while Professor Adewale Oladipo was appointed as Deputy Director of Administration.

Raymond Dokpesi was appointed by the party as the Deputy Director of Technical and Systems, while Ekwesilieze Nwodo was appointed as Deputy Director of Research and Strategy of the NCMC.

In the meantime, the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike and other governors and critical stakeholders, are all members of the campaign council.
