The Oyo State Government has presented a beaded crown and staff of office to His Royal Majesty Oba Najeemdeen Afolabi Osuolale Adesola Adelaja (Tukur II), The Gegun of Ayetoro-Oke Land.

The epoch-making occasion, which happened at Baptist Primary School, Ayetoro-Oke Land, Kajola Local Government, had in attendance representatives of the state government, the Executive Chairman of the Local Government, Alhaji Salimonu Afolabi, other public office holders, Local Government officials, Oke-Ogun Traditional Rulers, community’s indigenes and well-wishers among others.

Governor Seyi Makinde, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Mr. Joel Olaleye, delivered the keynote address and equally presented the beaded crown and staff of office to the monarch.

 

In his speech, the Executive Chairman, Kajola Local Government, Alhaji Salimonu Afolabi felicitated with the sons and daughters of Ayetoro-Oke Land on the official coronation and presentation of the beaded crown and staff of office to HRM Oba Najeemdeen Afolabi Osuolale.

Alhaji Afolabi described the occasion as one of the best feats to be attained by the ancient town and local government as a whole, calling on the community to ensure mutual cooperation and understanding with the monarch to attain more efficient service delivery as he continues to lead.

The Council Boss prayed to God almighty to bless the monarch with sound health, knowledge, wisdom, and naturally divine inspiration that would culminate in unity, love, progress, and peaceful coexistence among the indigents and aliens.

In an interview with newsmen, the Asiwaju of Ayetoro-Oke Land, Chief Adebisi Adesola showed his gratitude to God almighty, Governor Seyi Makinde, and the community’s indigenes whose concerted efforts culminated in the success of the official coronation and presentation of the beaded crown and staff of office to the monarch.
