Shooting Stars Sport Club of Ibadan (3SC) are now back to the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) after four year in the 2nd tier of the country’s football league.

The Oluyole Warriors promoted after trashing Ekiti United 6-nil in the ongoing Nigeria National League (NNL) Playoff matches in Enugu, Enugu State capital.

This promotion is coming on the heels of recent support by the Oyo State government. The already promoted team will now have their gaze on the star prize in the ongoing playoffs in Enugu.

MAKINDE’S PROMISE FULFILLED

It would be recalled that Engr. Seyi Makinde had promised to get 3SC promoted to the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) within 2 years of assuming office, and also assured all the stakeholders that his administration would put in necessary resources to restructure the club and motivate players. The promise has been fulfilled today in addition to the newly commissioned Lekan Salami Stadium which was one of the motivation leading to the outstanding performance of the players.
