Oyo State Governor Engineer Seyi Makinde has assured that the government will compensate and or relocate individuals affected by the recent demolition exercise on the ongoing Ibadan Circular Road.
He stated this while addressing those affected by the circular road construction project after inaugurating the road project.
The Governor who urged the people of the area to stop building on road setbacks, said the demolition exercise in the area was for development purposes.
The governor further assured that those affected will be adequately taken care of.
The representatives of those affected by the road projects appealed to the government to come to their aids at this critical period.
It would be recalled that many houses along the Lagos /Ibadan Expressway corridor were affected by the construction of the Circular Road project, prompting the pleas by the affected residents.
