Two suspects, Christopher Ogunmodede and Musa Abdullahi, on Friday appeared before an Iyaganku Magistrate’s Court, Ibadan, for allegedly stealing 9 litres of diesel worth N12,600.

The defendants, whose addresses were not provided, were charged with conspiracy and theft.

They, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The prosecutor, Inspector Gbemisola Adedeji, told the court that the defendants committed the offences on April 6 about 9:00 pm at First Technical University, Ibadan.

Adedeji alleged that the defendants conspired to steal the diesel belonging to the university.

She said that the offences contravened sections 516 and 390 (9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.

The Magistrate, Mrs Adebola Adeola, granted each defendant bail in the sum of N50,000 and one surety each.

Adeola adjourned the case until June 7 for hearing.
