Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has approved the appointment of three new members of the Oyo State Advisory Council, chaired by legal practitioner and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Chief Bolaji Ayorinde.
The newly appointed members are Engineer Abu Salami, Hon. Ezekiel Oyedepo and Hon. (Mrs.) Lydia Bankole.
The appointments were contained in letters issued by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, PhD, and take effect from Friday, September 18, 2026.
In a related development, Governor Makinde appointed Hon. Adekunle Oladapo Bankole as Chairman of the Oyo State Hospitals Management Board.
The Governor also approved the reassignment of three officials to new positions.
Mrs Adeboyin Elizabeth Oladokun, who previously served as a member of the Oyo State Housing Corporation, has been appointed Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Diaspora Matters.
Similarly, Abiodun Oluwaseun Friday, formerly Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Project Delivery, has been appointed Chairman of the Oyo State Project Performance Monitoring Agency.
He replaces Engineer Muftau Open Salawu, who is the Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).
Also, Ajao Ibrahim Akinsanmi, formerly a member of the Board of the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS), has been appointed a member of the Oyo State Housing Corporation.
Governor Makinde congratulated the appointees and charged them to discharge their responsibilities with loyalty, commitment and dedication to the service of the state.
The appointments were announced in a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Dr Sulaimon Olanrewaju, dated September 18, 2026.
