The Oyo state governor, Engr Seyi Makinde has approved the regularization and inclusion of 129 floating staff members from the former Oyo State Agricultural Development Programme (OYSADEP) into the core of the State Civil Service.
This was announced by the Commissioner for Information, Prince Dotun Oyelade, during a press briefing following the Executive Council Meeting at the Governor’s office complex.
The commissioner highlighted that the absorbed 129 staff members will now receive due promotions and other entitlements accorded to civil servants.
Prince Oyelade emphasized that Governor Makinde’s decision demonstrates his consistent stance of compassion towards civil servants facing procedural, legal, or other challenges within the system.
He further pointed out that over the past four and a half years, numerous civil servants have been reinstated into the service to rectify the lack of sensitivity observed in previous administrations.
