At the launch of Nigeria’s Strategic Plan 2023–2027, a significant milestone was recorded for Oyo State, marking a new chapter in its Agribusiness transformation drive. It is with great satisfaction that we report the approval of our submitted request for support, a development that underscores the growing recognition of Oyo State’s strategic vision and commitment to Agricultural development.

Notably, Oyo State has been selected as one of only five states across the federation to benefit from the AGRA 3.0 investment initiative—emerging as the sole representative from southern Nigeria. This achievement reflects the state’s proactive policies, institutional readiness, and sustained efforts in positioning Agriculture as a key driver of economic growth and food security.

This milestone is a testament to the exceptional leadership and tireless commitment of Dr. Debo Akande, DBA, CMGR, FCMI, the Executive Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde on Agribusiness and International Cooperation Development, and Director General of OYSADA.

His strategic direction and unwavering dedication continue to attract global partnerships and investment opportunities to Oyo State.
