The Oyo State House of Assembly on Wednesday confirmed the appointment of all Ten Commissioner-nominees forwarded by Governor Seyi Makinde.
It could be recalled that Governor Makinde on 22nd September 2021 had forwarded the list of the five returning Commissioners and a new five nominees to the State House of Assembly for screening and ultimate appointment.
The returning Commissioners are: Commissioner of Information Culture & Tourism Dr. Wasiu Olatunbosun, Commissioner of Youth and Sports Mr Seun Fakorede, Commissioner for Commerce, Trade & Investment Mr Adeniyi Adebisi, Commissioner for Education Mr Olasunkanmi Olaleye and Commissioner for Land and Urban Planning Mr Abdulrahman Abdulrahim.
Other five new Commissioner designates screened by the lawmakers are: Mr Abiodun Oni, Prof Misbau Babatunde, Mr Segun Olayiwola, Dr Bode Ladipo and Alhaja Kafilat Omolabake Olayiwola.
The lawmakers said the nominees were qualified to serve as Commissioners in the State.
The lawmakers then unanimously agreed that all of them should take a bow.
The Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Adebo Ogundoyin, while speaking, charged the Commissioner-designates to justify the confidence reposed in them by the State Governor.
Hon Ogundoyin urged them to support the agenda of the present administration which he noted is aimed at boosting the socio-economic activities of the State towards Growth and opportunities to better the lives and livelihoods of Oyo State indigenes and Residents.
