Governor Seyi Makinde has officially declared his intention to contest the 2027 Presidential Election under the platform of the Allied People’s Movement (APM), unveiling the official website for the Seyi Makinde Presidential Campaign 2027 and the broader Reset Nigeria Movement.
The newly launched platform, www.seyimakinde4president.com, will serve as the campaign’s central digital hub, providing Nigerians with direct access to the movement’s vision, policy direction, volunteer mobilisation, media resources, and nationwide engagement activities.

Speaking on his decision to run for president, Seyi Makinde said Nigeria requires leadership driven by competence, accountability, and measurable progress.“Nigeria cannot continue with politics as usual. This is the time to reset our nation, rebuild public trust, strengthen institutions, and create a system that works for all Nigerians,” he stated.

The campaign platform outlines Governor Makinde’s priorities across economic growth, job creation, education, healthcare, security, infrastructure, power sector reform, and institutional strengthening. It also features an interactive volunteer network designed to coordinate grassroots mobilisation across Nigeria and the diaspora.
The website includes a dedicated Truth Hub to counter misinformation, alongside a Media Resource Centre containing official statements, campaign materials, photographs, and biographical information for journalists and stakeholders.
Currently serving as the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Governor Makinde has built a reputation around infrastructure renewal, agribusiness expansion, fiscal discipline, education reform, and security improvement. Before entering public office, he founded Makon Group Limited, bringing private sector leadership experience into governance.

The formal declaration event will hold at Mapo Hall, bringing together party leaders, youth groups, professionals, and supporters as the campaign begins nationwide mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general election.
