Oyo State Governor Engineer Seyi Makinde has described street trading and illegal dumping of refuse on road medians as uncivil acts that must be eradicated in the state.
Governor Makinde stated this during the commissioning of Idi Ape, Civic Centre, Agodi Gate junction improvement projects on Friday.
Makinde, while addressing the gathering, said the junction improvements will reduce the number of man-hours spent by residents commuting roadsin the city.
He added that the project was conceived to bring sanity to the areas, informing that he has given a directive that anyone found carrying out street trading and dumping refuse on road medians will face the full wrath of the law.
The event was witnessed by Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State, former Military Administrator of the state, Major General Oladayo Popoola, Deputy Governor of the state, Bayo Lawal and PDP Deputy National Chairman (South), Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja.
